Based in Freehold, New Jersey, Heidi Defabritus is an educator, creative, and philanthropist. She is a substitute teacher at Monroe Township Schools. She ensured that students were taught the curriculum that the teacher left and ensured that all assignments were completed. Heidi Defabritus was also responsible for the children’s safety and trained lockdown procedures and fire drill procedures.

Between 2021 and 2023, Heidi Defabritus worked as a para-professional at the Monroe School District. She facilitated safe transportation for students to and from school, underscoring her deep commitment to student well-being. These experiences highlight her ability to balance academic support with a nurturing presence, making her a trusted resource for both teachers and students.

Outside of education, Ms Defabritus has demonstrated leadership skills in nonprofit fundraising and event management. Between 2014 and 2019, she served as the fundraising chair and box office manager at The Strand Theater in Lakewood, New Jersey. During her tenure, she developed and executed comprehensive fundraising plans, identified and built donor relationships, and led large-scale fundraising campaigns.
